Tianjin Water Park reopened after renovation
One of the ten scenic spots in the city, Tianjin Water Park reopened for free after 4 months of renovation. The park, built in 1950, is the largest park in Tianjin, and is named so because it has three lakes and eleven islets. The renovation started early this March. What changes have been made to the park? Our correspondent has more.
The upgraded park includes four areas themed after the four seasons, and 170 kinds of trees have been introduced to enrich the landscape. The Spring Area is a horticultural products area, composed of Plant Watch Area and Bonsai Garden; the Autumn Area is a Vision Pavilion Area, including ginkgo biloba and other autumn trees; the Winter Area is a small park, featuring pine, bamboo, plum and other evergreens.
I am in the Summer Area, elegantly called “Green Lotus Summer”. This area offers a summer view consisting of pond lily, calamus, scirpus tabernaemontani and other aquatic plants, and in the evening, movies are staged in the open air and the visitors can watch movies while enjoying a cool evening.
Seven bridges have been added to link the waters in the park. They have different designs, but they are all drawn on the style of garden bridges in Ming and Qing Dynasty. In addition to garden features and water greenings, interactive design is also a light spot. Both the various fountains and playful ducks and goldfishes are attracting visitors in great numbers. What’s more, the tall fences have been replaced with short ones, 1.5 meters high, shortening the distance between the park and visitors. |
